My first 21!

Hooha! I have challenged myself to a challenge -- my first ever 21km marathon! 

I have challenged and came back alive! =DD  It was really an experience.. My legs literally feeling like falling off... Oh the sweet sense of achievement at the finish point! Especially when you have ppl there cheering for you! 

Happy to see you all at the finish point!

Hidden heart much?

My heart. It has been hidden for sometime now but it was found and  its slowly being stole away piece by piece. I try to take them back but some of them are already lost in transaction.. *sigh*

The one day of sem break

After almost a month of being stuck in the jungle, having sleepless nights and getting fat (lack of sports) because of exams, finally I get to get of the jungle and have some fun!

At last, I got to watch Avatar, although its not 3D version, it is still super awesome. I am very grateful that my friends don mind watching the movie again cause the 3D version tickets were sold out even though we went there like around 2 to get night tickets.. =(

Walked around Midvalley with Wy Hoong for few hours while waiting for the rest to arrive after the last paper.. My feet was crying for help dy.. but its still better than being stuck in the jungle.. LOL! Bought a pair of goggles cause the last pair broke went I for a swim, a squash ball, since Alice is not around anymore to pinjam and some few other things. Had Pasta Zanmai and my awesome, awesome daifuku for dinner! ^^ Spent alot lor.. but I am happy.. =) That night stayed up to around 1 plus and the next day still got more to come!

On Sunday which is the next day, I went to Furry Friends Farm, Delta's PIW project. Woke up at around 9 to get ready to go and meet the people. Shen Quang picked me and Shi Qin up from Tmn Desa and head off to KL Central to meet up the rest.. Spent like around an hour there talking nonsense, waiting for ppl to arrive and arranging the next move. =) Had 7 cars going to the farm. The farm is located somewhere in Rawang which I dunno where.. lol.. Reached there around 12 plus when the sun is just on top of us.. We had to start work right away.. What really surprises me there is the amount of dogs... I haven seen so many dogs together roaming freely in an open area before.. The dogs are quite tame and friendly except for some random dog fights here and there.. There is actually also a cat area but I din bother going there.. Aiks.. Not much of a cat lover..

My expectation of that place was that we just go there to bathe the animals, prepare food to feed them, clean their cages and sorts like that. But it turned out that we had to do more than that.. The place is not fully developed yet, as in there are plenty more to improve bout the place. The person-in-charge, Sabrina, said that they want to make a fence to fence up the dogs so that they swarm over the visitors and also more comfortable place for the visitors to relax and play with dogs at the same time. The sun then was scorching hot.. We tried to work under the sun but had to rest after every 10-15 mins cause of serious dehydration. Work progress then wasn't that good. But as the day draws nearer to evening, our pace picked up and finished up what we had to do... Thumbs up to everyone. =) We dug holes, cemented the holes, transported swings, rolled big heavy cement tubes over dog poo, stepped on dog poo, cleaned dishes, cleaned the floor and tried very hard to burn a stack of fresh grass... Had fun with the ppl and dogs... =)

A new Revival! =D

Here's a little something I would love to share to all my blog readers. =)

First off, I want to thank God for this very day as I got to experience somethings which struck me in awe.. Secondly, I want to thank Pei Wern for really encouraging me to attend the last night of APYAC conference and thus leading me to such an awesome experience.

It was actually pre-planned a night before that I will meet Pei Wern at her church at 4.00pm, attend the church service and then follow her to GTPJ.

But then, my plan went abit haywire as the logs check took a longer time then I expected thus, I was late to church. Din miss much though, only the worship session.

Today, I walked into a unusual church service (for me at least)... This Pastor came up and preached, then asked us to bow down on our knees and give thanks unto the Lord. This is something new for me.. =) After sometime, he called the people who are sick or has illness or has problems to come up... He started praying for them one by one and one by one fall back... I was more stunned then... O.O I really have not seen this before.. And then youths went forward. That point of time, my heart stirred. Pei Wern came and talked to me about going upfront and receiving the blessings. In my heart, I was like, 'Seriously? I have practically no idea what is all these about...' I was doubting and found a chair to sit down..

As I was sitting there, I was praying to God, asking Him if I should go up and receive the blessing.. Unexpectedly, this guy from the church and a pastor approached me and told me to just go forward.. I was like 'Uh... Uhmm....', so confused and then just went up with the support of PW..

What was really fascinating and awesomely cool is what the pastor said to me when I was there! He said something along the lines, ' You will serve in worship. You are gifted with your fingers to play the drums and the guitar. You have a creative mind to do creative arts in serving Him and you will dance in His joy to praise Him '

Bear in mind that the pastor knew nothing of me and I have never spoken to him in my life before.. For him to say that to me, I believe its something else.. =)

APYAC was another kind of experience. The worship there was awesome.. =D Imagine me with a almost gone voice at the end of the night...

The 'theme' is "Speak to the nations" and I felt that it really impacted lots of ppl there to do more for this generation. I believe that the conference really touched the souls and lives of the ppl there.. I was kinda moved even for that short period of time.. I do believe that if we take the initiative and the steps to move forward and do something bout it, God will guide us all the way and make things happen.. =)

In the end

We are moving in Dec, the last month of the year where all other places are already having hols and some places snowing.. I wish I could be part of it.. >.< Always dreaming of experiencing a white Christmas with carols, tress, happy ppl everywhere... =) When will that gonna happen, I wonder.. ?

My Dec is not gonna happen that way I suppose for the next 2 years... Exams are always around in Jan, how on earth then am I gonna enjoy my christmas.. Imma really not happy with the fact that my sis is not going to be in Malaysia this Christmas and I thought Christmas is suppose to be spent with family, or maybe I am just jealous that she gotta go out to enjoy and I am just stuck here..

At this point of time, I am so numb with work and responsibilities, I really don't have anytime for myself and there's nothing I can do about it.. I so really wish and hope that I can just runaway to a far far away land and never come back until everything has passed... I am just too overwhelmed with all that is happening.. Relying only on God's strength to pull me through all these.. I am just very very very tired.. Sighhhh............

Where is happy spirit? End of the year, where is my spirit??

At this point of time, I have no idea what is happening actually. Its a really really busy period of time which consists of assignments, ppl and CF. My time is mostly dedicated to the above and not so much for myself and my other friends. Not to say that I am complaining with all the work I have and all, I am very happy doing CF stuff (the ppl there are kinda wacko. =P).. but I am feeling like something is missing somewhere... Too caught up with work I guess, I neglected some of my friends and really am not feeling right about that..

What more, recently, I felt I am more alone than anytime else.. I couldn't spend time with ppl closest to me, apparently no time (what an excuse ).. I blame myself for that.. Very poor time management...

I couldn't read her, understand her anymore.. What happened to me? Someone enlighten me with what's going on around.. I really couldn't see or understand lor...

Tell me or else I would nvr know...

Found out this event 2 months ago through Marble on facebook.. Genting Trailblazer wehh... Awesome lor, and since its a team event, I went for a look out for partner..

waited and waited...

The big day is arriving!!

On 31 Oct, met Woon Chin the supporter at midvalley station while waiting for the ktm to Segambut to meet up with Christal aka my partner and Lu Yi another supporter. Got onto Christal's car around 1.30pm then headed off to a Tesco in an unknown land to get our lunch, dinner and breakfast for the next morn..

Reached Awana only around 4... ( Imagine the time we used to shop for the food. XD ) Collected our freebies ( official dri-fit shirt, power bar, milo shoe bag, complimentary vouchers and redbull which got me talk non-stop for an hour, which also contributed to Christal's headache. >.< ). There, we met with other 2 teams (Vincent & Marble , Dennis & Poh-E ) and Kar Lye.

Bumped at Vincent & Marble's and Dennis & Poh-E's room while waiting for Liza & Livyen team (which thanks to them Christal & me had a place to sleep and the few of us who didn't book dinner had a place to cook Raleigh-style dinner. =D), CK and Hui Mei.

-Fun fact : All the ppl mentioned above are all Raleigh ppl -

The chef of the night ----- CHRISTAL cooked us an awesome dinner which consist of 5 packets of duck flavour instant noodle recommended by Lu Yi, 2 packets of sausage, 1 chinese lettuce, 1 packet of vegetarian satay and 3 chicken thigh. Seems simple, but it was a whole lot of awesome food.. We ate to our hearts content using mess tins... XD ( Raleigh Style mar... =D )

CK's birthday was on the 1st Nov. We threw him a 5 lvl surprise party!

Lvl 1 - Wrapped in blanket and thrown into the elevator which transported him to the lobby

Lvl 2 - Dumped into the swimming pool along with Hui Mei

Lvl 3 - Decorated him with whip cream

Lvl 4 - Brought him to Dennis's room which is well decorated with balloons and had 2 birthday cakes.

Lvl 5 - Had him feed all the ppl there!

After lvl 5, we went back to catch some sleep as we still have a race to catch the next day!

-Fun fact : Being with Raleigh is nvr boring. Not a single minute. =) Its always full of laughter and randomness. -

Finally!!!!!!

The Big Day arrived!!!!

Got up at 6.15am to prepare for the race. Ate man tou and bananas for breakfast! Not bad at all lor... XD Met up with the other ppl and head off to starting point.

It was all misty that morning because it drizzled the night before.. Had a short morning walk to the starting point and then we started posing at the field with our big 'R' green shirt!

All so semangat.. Had no idea what was awaiting us ahead.. GO GREEN!! XD

The route started off with a trip round the golf course at the awana which is around 3km and then it leads us into the jungle trek.. The trail is super, duper, ultimate, uber muddy. The start of the trail is a downhill trek.. We can either choose to mud ski or slide... By the time we reached the end of the downhill trek, our shoes we already covered in mud and there isn't grip left. And that was only the beginning of the race.. The whole route is like uphill then downhill, then uphill then downhill again and it goes on and on with mud treks.. =D

Ppl wearing normal running would have to sacrifice their shoes to the jungle especially nike shoes.. Pieces of soles can be seen throughout the trail.. I was lucky to have made my decision to use my pair of timberland.. =) If i were to bring my pair of new balance, it will share the same fate as the other unfortunates... Even with my timberland, it got stuck in the mud where I have to hand pick it out from the mud.. That is how thick the mud was..

After mud skiing, butt sliding, crawling on all fours, falling, losing grip and using trees as support, we finally see the finish line... but that is not the end yet...

The finisher medal was the main motivation!!! 5 1/2 hours from the starting to finishing.. It was a relieve to have crossed the line and get my hands on the medal! *proud*
